Preparatory Division

Children ages 4 to 6 may participate in the preparatory division of the New York City Children’s Chorus. With the goal of developing each child’s love of singing, we address introductory vocal technique, music reading skills, musical games, and partner songs. Children in the preparatory division perform two concerts each year, a December concert and a May concert. The preparatory division prepares children to audition for the New York City Children’s Chorus and instills a love of music in a warm and affirming environment.
