Training Choirs Perform
Allegro, Intermezzo & Prelude
Our Training Choirs share their talents with the residents of the Terence Cardinal Cooke Health Care Center. This program features favorites of the classical repertoire, such as Franz Schubert’s “An die Musik” and Benjamin Britten’s “The Sally Gardens”, along with Broadway favorites from You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. The choristers will also lead the residents in an annual favorite Sing-along!

Concert of Classical and Popular Music
In Harmony
Our high school choir, In Harmony, will present a concert featuring works from both the classical and musical theatre repertoire. The program includes the music of J.S. Bach, W.A. Mozart, as well as songs from the classic Broadway musicals, “Carousel” and “My Fair Lady”.

St. Patrick’s Day Concert
Allegro
Our Allegro Training Choir will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with the residents of the James Lenox Retirement House, singing both traditional folk songs and new arrangement of old favorites, such as “Londonderry Air” and “When Irish Eyes are Smiling”.

Seasons of Love

Five choirs of MAPC’s graded community children’s choir program – totaling over 140 choristers – will present a concert featuring works that explore a range of emotions from happiness to melancholy, love to despair, and everything in between! Music of Handel, Schubert, and Broadway. The proceeds from the concert will benefit the NYCCC Tuition Aid Fund.

Admission to the Saint Andrew Music Society's Music on Madison concerts is by suggested donation at the door: $20 ($15 Students/62+); children 12 & under: free.

Nashville Tour
In Harmony and Concert Choir

The New York City Children’s Chorus will conclude its 2016-17 season with a tour to Nashville, Tennessee! They will be featured on several concert series, including the Music City Showcase series, an outdoor performance in Centennial Park, a service at West End United Methodist Church, and a performance for local, hospitalized veterans.

Our Fall 2016 season concerts included:

The NYCCC was extremely busy in December 2016, including concerts at the Homeless Shelter and Shelter Dinner at Madison Avenue Presbyterian Church, a concert and sing-along at the Mary Manning Walsh House, a performance of Vaughan Williams’ Hodie and Magnificat, with the St. Andrews Choral Society, and with the Madison Avenue Presbyterian Church choir’s 12th Annual Carol Sing! We were featured throughout the morning on Good Morning America’s Christmas Day broadcast.
